RE: Suggestions for a screen tent

Hexagon tents by Eureka
We just got this screen tent. It went up quick and put away easy-everything fit in the carry case for a change! It was surprisingly roomy and it's got the no-seeum screens.

RE: Glucosamine/Chondroitin Supplements-UPDATED Pg. 4

I've taken two to three tablets daily and you do notice a difference in your mobility and flexibility. If I squat down to check something in the oven window, my knees no longer crackle and it's easier to stand back up! I recommend them.

RE: Dog chewing on cat's head

I agree that the cat would make it known if he didn't like it. Some cats' best friends are dogs. My coon cat used to sleep with our dogs and only drink out of their water dish. Our new dog didn't realize what a good friend she could have had and rubbed our coon cat the wrong way when she was introduced into the house. Now the cat will have nothing to do with the dog.

RE: Looking for good campground around Bath, Maine

Hiker Central This is another place where you can get campground reviews. I've found some success with this.

RE: lakefront camping in new england any suggestions?

I second Danforth Bay in Freedom, NH. We actually had the site right next to the boat launch/beach area and it wasn't a problem with noise or people-just secluded enough. Another interesting place was Lost River Campground near Lincoln NH. There were rivers and streams running all through the campground-beautiful sight and the water running over the rocks was very relaxing.

RE: Mice Problems - Mothball Odors

We had problems with mice a year ago, so this winter we put moth balls, but only around the ground outside the TT. It still smelled inside when we opened this spring. I can't imagine having the smell Burlingame will be trying to get rid of. I got one of those plug in Yankee Candle aroma oil thingy's (another big word) and it really helped.

How hard is it to Rotate a window in TT

The slide window over my sink is almost worthless when the door to the TT is propped open because it covers the screen area. Can you rotate or flip the window so that the screen area is not behind the door and how much trouble am I asking for before I ask DH to change it?

RE: someone tried to take my rig...

Just like the character that took both of our brand new propane tanks (less than 6 mos old) and also attempted to take the battery while it was sitting at the RV dealer for follow-up work since our purchase. Must have confused them with his, especially when he put the rusted ones into our tank holders. Hmmmm. Big problem when the dealerships and RV repair centers can't protect your property while it's in their possession for maintenance.

Pink polka dots in my sink

Any suggestions how to get the pink stains out of my white sink when "S" DH(won't say what the s stands for)filled the lines with anti-freeze. I've tried several things and they are not budging.

RE: Sheets

I buy regular fitted queen sheets-with our foam mattress topper, it seems to take enough of the slack in the sheet that we are not swimming in wrinkles. I've also tried the elastic clip thingy's (big word for me) for the four corners, that seems to help You can get them in the bedding section at WalMart.

RE: What is your favorite "goofy" behavior of your kitty?

One of my siamese drags strings around like Sirdrakejr's previous post and she cries as she drags them to me. Her sister just rolls out the paper towels on the counter and fluffs them around to make a bed for herself.

RE: is there a better way to open screen door?

easy screen door opener
I used the straight bottom bar of a wire coat hanger, wire cutters, electric drill and the cork out of a wine bottle. Took all of 15 minutes to do. Absolutely love it.

RE: Advice for camping with smaller dog (Chihuahua)

I agree with the previous posters. I retired in August and heckled my DH until he let me get a dog. That was one must have for my retirement. He has since fallen in love with her-a one year old rescue terrier mix. She is crate trained and when things get too much for her she will even go in the crate herself for quiet time. We will definitely be taking her camping. She is extremely shy (sat under a chair the whole 8 weeks of dog training class), so camping will be very stressful for her, but she will have to adjust-leaving her home is not the answer. P.S. her number 2's are about the size of my 3 cats' duties, so picking up won't be a problem-she's not a Saint Bernard.
